Red Hill Tennis Club is the latest Mornington Peninsula sport club set for a bright future with upgraded court lighting ready for action at their home venue.
Member for Eastern Victoria Tom McIntosh visited the club today to officially launch the new lighting, made possible by a $200,000 Allan Labor Government investment.
At Red Hill Tennis Club there are now 350 lux LED lights on six courts allowing safer use and increased participation hours for Red Hill locals.
That’s great news for local tennis fans, opening the door for more pathways and local development programs including for juniors new to the game.
More playable court time and local competition compliant lighting means more opportunity to train and compete.
The Victorian Budget 2025/26 is providing $20 million to support the development of high-quality, accessible community sports infrastructure across the state.
This brings the Victorian Government’s investment in community sport and active recreation infrastructure to more than $2.4 billion since 2014.
Tom McIntosh MP acknowledged Mornington Peninsula Shire for its almost $6,000 investment and commitment to delivering the project.
