The Allan Labor Government is giving more Victorian children the best start in life – with five brand-new modular kindergartens set to open across the state next year, including one in Swifts Creek, to meet increasing demand in growing communities.
Member for Eastern Victoria, Tom McIntosh MP today announced that Swifts Creek P-12 (Flagstaff campus)  (interim name) is one of the five new kindergartens thanks to a $13.8 million Labor Government investment – all set to open their doors in Term 1, 2025.
Modular kindergartens are constructed off-site in a factory, in sections known as modulars, to take advantage of quicker construction time and reduced disruptions, costs and risks.
The project at Swifts Creek P-12 will deliver a one-room kindergarten and playground on the school site.
This will replace and expand the existing kindergarten in Swifts Creek, providing 34 kindergarten spots for the community.
The Labor Government is investing billions to build and expand hundreds of kindergartens across the state, supporting the delivery of 15 hours of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten each week by 2029 and 30 hours of Pre-Prep each week by 2036.
